Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Brandmanny Media Limited ("we", "us"), which runs the WordSlide Arena app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these Terms for you.

• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure.
• We recommend linking an email address so you can get back into your account on a new device.
• Usernames must not be offensive, misleading or impersonate anyone. We may change or remove usernames that break this rule.
• You may not sell, transfer or share your account.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Cheat, use bots, scripts or automation, or exploit bugs
• Harass, threaten or abuse other players
• Interfere with, overload or try to break into our servers
• Copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or its content
• Use the Service for anything illegal

WordSlide Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks extra features, such as 500 coins every month, rooms of up to 15 players, picking the theme when you host a room, Plus-only avatars and board skins. It is offered monthly and yearly. The monthly coins are given every 30 days on both plans, starting when any free trial ends.

• The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.
• If a free trial is offered, it is for eligible new subscribers only. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
• Deleting your WordSlide account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your store account first.
• If the price changes, Apple or Google will notify you in advance as their rules require.

Coins are a virtual item. You earn them by playing (for example by finishing games, winning multiplayer games and with a daily bonus), get them with WordSlide Plus, or buy coin packs through the App Store or Google Play. You can spend them only in WordSlide, on things like hints and avatars.

• Coins have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, sold, or moved to another account, and they don't expire.
• Coins and avatars belong to your WordSlide account, not to your device or store account. A coin pack can't be restored from the store, so link an email to your account to keep it safe on a new phone.
• If you delete your account, its coins and avatars are deleted too and can't be recovered.
• Refunds of coin packs are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. If a pack is refunded, we take back the coins it gave you, down to a balance of zero.
• Plus-only avatars show while you have WordSlide Plus. If Plus ends, other players see your initials until it's active again.
• We may change what coins cost and buy, and how many you earn.

The game is free to play, and you earn coins as you play. We may change features, limits, themes or prices, add or remove content, or stop offering parts of the Service.

The Service, including its game design, word lists, artwork and code, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own non-commercial entertainment, under these Terms. Plus features, coins, hints, avatars, badges and skins are licensed to you, have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.

You keep any rights you have in the username and other content you submit. You allow us to store and show it to other players so the game can work.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see our Delete Account page). We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put other players or the Service at risk.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, and we may take it down for maintenance.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for WordSlide Plus and coin packs in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
• Your licence is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims.
• You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must follow any third-party terms that apply when using the app, such as your wireless data service agreement.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the changes are significant. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
